For Windows 10 & 11

Capture anything.
Beautifully.

Press a shortcut, drag an area, done. Screenshots, MP4 and GIF recordings and on-screen text — saved, on your clipboard, and waiting in a floating thumbnail you can mark up or drag straight into any app.

Floating thumbnail

Every capture lands one click from done.

Each capture is saved, copied to your clipboard, and slides into the corner as a thumbnail — bottom-left or bottom-right, your call. Use it, or just keep working.

Capture

Stills, motion and words.

Pick an area once, then choose Screenshot, Record, GIF or Text from the all-in-one toolbar — or jump straight in with a dedicated shortcut.

$ dotnet runBuild succeeded.> _

Area & window

The screen freezes, so menus and tooltips stay put. Drag with a crosshair, pixel magnifier and live size readout (hold Shift for a square) — or just click a window to grab it. Try it above.

Record MP4 & GIF

Capture text

Select any area — error dialogs, videos, images — and its text lands on your clipboard. Uses the Windows built-in OCR engine, so it runs fully offline.

Keystrokes & audio

Show the shortcuts you press — or every key — in a clean pill while you record. Capture system sound and your mic, set levels, and they're mixed into the MP4 for you.

Edit

Mark it up. Trim it down.
Hide what matters.

Click a thumbnail and a focused editor opens with exactly the tools you reach for.

Annotate

Arrows, lines, rectangles, ellipses, pen, highlighter, text and numbered steps — in 8 colours and 3 sizes. Every mark stays live, so you can move, recolour or delete it. Go ahead, draw on it.

  • Hold Shift for 45° lines, squares and circles
  • Undo and redo everything
  • Drag the result straight into another app

Crop

Drag and resize the crop box, then hit Enter or Apply crop. Exports are flattened at 1:1 — pixel-exact, with your annotations intact.

Pixelate

Drag the pixelate tool over emails, API keys and card numbers before anything leaves your machine.

Shortcuts

Your keyboard is the interface.

Screenshot Max lives quietly in your notification area. Seven global shortcuts out of the box — rebind any of them in Settings.

The details

Sweats the small stuff.

Never captures itself

Thumbnails, the recording frame and controls are excluded from capture — they never end up in your shots or videos.

Pixel-exact everywhere

Multiple monitors and mixed DPI scaling, handled. Captures land at true physical pixels.

Freeze-frame capture

Every monitor freezes the moment you start, so hover states and menus wait for you.

Offline by design

OCR runs on-device, and there's no cloud upload. Your captures stay on your PC.

Lives in your tray

Out of the way until you need it, with an option to launch at login.

Feels at home

Settings follow your Windows 11 light or dark theme.

No clutter. No learning curve. Just a screenshot tool with the polish of a Mac and the power your PC deserves.
